Green Valley Arizona "Quasi" Government Operations
Green Valley Arizona is designated as a retirement community for those 55 and better. Nearly all homes carry this strictly enforced deed restriction. An owner of real estate in Green Valley can younger than 55, but occupancy is limited to people 55 and older and no permanent occupant under the age of 18.
What about Grand Children? Grand children are welcome to visit! Each Home Owner Association establishes a maximum visit time (usually 4-6 weeks). In the case of a catastrophic life changing event and the parents become the primary caregiver of a grand child this time can be extended for a specified time period on a case-by-case basis and ONLY with written approval of the Home Owner Association board.
Green Valley is a active adult retirement community with abundent recreational activities with many area attractions and things to do.
Green Valley is organized by a Coordinating Committe that functions much like a quasi-jurisdiction. Volunteer Representatives are designated by participating Home Owner Associations. This group meets on a regular basis and makes recommendations to the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
